Yes! I just did this. Take out the actual key inside, then push it into its slot backwards.

The back side will pop up. Battery is a 2025, 6.99 for two of them at my local Target.

I didn’t think it was going to be helpful, but I’m glad that it was - it saves you from doing something crazy like having a dealer replace it (since it’ll probably go into triple figures because Mercedes).
